Authenticity and Condition

How do you determine the authenticity and condition of the items you are selling? 

Authenticity is the foundation of my business. Without that trust Preloved Perfection could never succeed. I want all our customers to buy with absolute confidence. All items are personally inspected to confirm their authenticity and quality; inspected for appropriate brand markings, date codes, serial tags and hologram stickers. If there is any doubt verifying the authenticity, items are reviewed by experts from within the fashion and fine jewellery business. There will be an extra charge of £50 for this verification, if I feel it is necessary. I ask all sellers to provide receipts, certificates of authenticity and original packaging, where possible. I am totally committed to a zero-tolerance, anti-counterfeit policy. Reproductions, fakes or copies of any form or shape are not acceptable and will either be returned at your expense or be destroyed. 

By selling with PRELOVED PERFECTION customers must comply with the conditions of sale which detail that the item they are selling is owned by them and is authentic. We also request to see a copy of the original proof of purchase, where possible. 

 At PRELOVED PERFECTION there are four categories of condition determined by quality, age and condition.

UNWORN/UNUSED: new and has never been worn or used. Original tags or labels may be attached to the item. There may be natural imperfections from the manufacturer. 

AS NEW: exceptionally good condition with almost no visible signs of wear and tear. May only have been worn once or twice. There may be imperfections as it is a pre-owned item.

VERY GOOD: is in good condition but shows some signs of gentle-to-normal wear and tear. There may be minor imperfections as it is a pre-owned item. 

GOOD: is in "loved" condition and may have obvious signs of wear. We see these flaws and blemishes as unique characteristics that are exclusive to vintage or previously owned items. 

PLEASE REMEMBER: All items on PRELOVED PERFECTION have been pre-owned by a third party and the condition of each garment is clearly described on the website.
